You should all be familiar with the various list of “superfoods” we have discussed over the years. These particular foods are full of vitamin and nutrients that are vital for for optimal health. Full of anti-oxidants and other phytonutrients, these superfoods are proven to reduce cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. Of course, all of these superfoods won’t help a darn if you also consume regular quantities of processed “man” foods, and don’t exercise.
One gem of a fruit are blueberries. I prefer buying the organic variety, grown in the USA. Most berries are considered “dirty” due to their surface, and their ability to have toxins and pesticides cling to their surface. Imported berries in general have to travel thousands of miles, and if traveling by air, are exposed to jet fuel and the like. Buy local, organic blueberries.
